    Phoenix calls it a day

At an extraordinary general meeting of the society on 28th November 2007, a motion was passed to wind up the society. This was to take effect on 10th December 2007. The reason given was a continued fall in membership, which made it impossible for the society to remain viable.

The  provisional chairman, Dave Adderley, thanked all who had, over  the  last  34 years, helped in any way to create and maintain a group which had provided first rate entertainment to so many.

A final meeting of members,  patrons  and friends  of  the society will  be  held  on 11th December 2007 at 8pm in the bar at Arden Hall.   This will be a party evening, and all are welcome.
